What is the Yellow Shelf Project? Right now, it’s up to you! It can be a shelf in your store that sells locally made products with minimal packaging (perhaps in bulk) and natural ingredients. The store accepts container returns for a discount on a repeat purchase from shelf.

It can be a self-service station in your office, community play space, block corner, etc., where folks can get their personal care products or home cleaning supplies, and leave money to keep the project going. You make the stuff together, it’s easy and fun!

Maybe it’s you and friends at your house using our recipes for simple hygiene and cleaning stuff. It’s like Mary Kay, without the Mary or Kay, unless your friends happened to be named as such. Maybe it’s us leading a workshop with you all.

Ways to get involved (buy, sell, hire, host, create) now:

•BUY all your personal care and home cleaning supplies from the Yellow Shelf and support our work. Be prepared! Bring your containers.

•SELL your products! Do you have a personal care or home cleaning product you make and sell (or want to sell)? Your product must be made locally and in packaging that is returnable, or refillable. We love bulk.

•HIRE us! We can organize a demonstration at an event or at your house. Choose a theme from the House Party List. We can make your choice of personal care or home cleaning products for a group. $120 minimum for a group of 8, $10 each additional person.

•HOST us! Install a Yellow Shelf Project shelf in your retail store, we’ll bring it to you!

•CREATE with us at a Production Day or start your own in your local neighborhood (we share our experience with you)! See our web calendar for a current schedule and sign up for our e-newsletter to stay posted.
